Welcome Back! To keep up with the latest topics I post, make sure you Subscribe. Thanks for visiting!

Sometimes we all need a little push in life. Whether we’re itching to pursue the dreams we’ve held in our heart since childhood or we simply need the willingness to tackle mundane chores, we can often find ourselves mired in a rut of inertia and feel like it’s the most difficult task to rise out of it.

These helpful tips and techniques have been designed to give you the boost you need! Each week you will receive in your email two tips for you to focus on and implement. There are many more ways to motivate yourself than I could possibly list in this blog post, but two a week should be enough to get your creative juices flowing and get some great motivation building.

Some of the tips are deceptively simple, but can be very effective indeed. Please keep in mind that they may vary in their effectiveness depending upon your mood and your current state of mind. These factors can fluctuate widely from day to day, so a tip that worked for you yesterday may not be as effective today.

Therefore, be willing to try something new if you’re feeling uninspired by some of the suggestions. If you try a tip and it doesn’t work, try another, or perhaps alter one of the tips to better suit your needs. Most importantly, remember that “motivation” is simply something that causes the desire to act. While positive motivators are usually more pleasant, don’t be surprised to discover that I’ve included one or two “negative” motivators in this book. What makes them negative or positive, however, is the context in which they are used. Though they may seem negative at first glance, they are for a positive result, so be willing to keep an open mind about them if you think they might work for you.

There are many reasons why we become unmotivated, and I touch on many of them throughout the year. Your reasons may be in alignment with these, or they may be completely different.

When it comes right down to it the reasons for your lack of motivation aren’t as important as your decision to take control of it and move forward again. If these emails can help you accomplish that, then our time together has been well-spent. Here’s wishing you all the motivation you desire, and a hefty dose of inspiration for variety.

Marketing Your CD Release Online

One of the greatest advantages of the Internet is the fact that you can market anything you have to sell via the world wide web. The same holds true for music CDs and mp3s. Most of us, including myself signup to all the available sites that allow you to upload and sell your music. I have made a few thousand just selling my music online and it can be quite rewarding. To make money online seling anything basically requires one main thing ……. real visitors! Not only will you need an eye appealing website and ear appealing music, but you will need tons of traffic if you intend to make money. Many bands make the mistake of thinking that a top notched website is all that is needed. The truth is, unless you create ways to get people to your wonderfully made website, you won’t do so well. If no one knows you have a website they won’t be looking for it and therefore it would take years before traffic will pickup to a real noticeable difference.

You must use any and all available forms of marketing on and offline to build up an online following that will generate the sales you would desire. A ot of people used MySpace.com to market their music and while that’s a good starting point, don’t let it be the only place you market to. I have learned a lot when it comes to marketing to social websites (including the ones i own). It’s a lot of work and it can help your efforts but don’t burn yourself out doing it. Join severall social sites to market yourself and your music because contrary to popular beliefs, not everyone uses MySpace.com or Facebook.com. Spread yourself around and with all of your information and links sections, make sure you link back to your main site and or buy now page. Have at least a minute and a half sample of each song on the site. People like to be able to hear what they are getting.

Make sure your main website has all the correct meta data and meta tags in it for Google and search engines to find you. The more sites you are on that have links to your main site, the more it will increase your main sites ranking.  You can even use programs like the OMS Viral Music Promoter to help increase awareness, traffic and sales.

I send out a weekly newsletter with tidbits on marketing music online that you can sign up for.
