One of the greatest advantages of the Internet is the fact that you can market anything you have to sell via the world wide web. The same holds true for music CDs and mp3s. Most of us, including myself signup to all the available sites that allow you to upload and sell your music. I have made a few thousand just selling my music online and it can be quite rewarding. To make money online seling anything basically requires one main thing ……. real visitors! Not only will you need an eye appealing website and ear appealing music, but you will need tons of traffic if you intend to make money. Many bands make the mistake of thinking that a top notched website is all that is needed. The truth is, unless you create ways to get people to your wonderfully made website, you won’t do so well. If no one knows you have a website they won’t be looking for it and therefore it would take years before traffic will pickup to a real noticeable difference.

You must use any and all available forms of marketing on and offline to build up an online following that will generate the sales you would desire. A ot of people used MySpace.com to market their music and while that’s a good starting point, don’t let it be the only place you market to. I have learned a lot when it comes to marketing to social websites (including the ones i own). It’s a lot of work and it can help your efforts but don’t burn yourself out doing it. Join severall social sites to market yourself and your music because contrary to popular beliefs, not everyone uses MySpace.com or Facebook.com. Spread yourself around and with all of your information and links sections, make sure you link back to your main site and or buy now page. Have at least a minute and a half sample of each song on the site. People like to be able to hear what they are getting.

Make sure your main website has all the correct meta data and meta tags in it for Google and search engines to find you. The more sites you are on that have links to your main site, the more it will increase your main sites ranking.  You can even use programs like the OMS Viral Music Promoter to help increase awareness, traffic and sales.

If you’ve ever read an article about eBay, you will have seen the kinds of incomes people make – it isn’t unusual to hear of people making thousands of dollars per month on eBay.

Next time you’re on eBay, take a look at how many Power Sellers there are: you’ll find quite a few. Now consider that every single one of one of them must be making at least $1,000 per month, as that’s eBay’s requirement for becoming a Power Seller. Silver Power Sellers make at least $3,000 each month, while Gold Power Sellers make more than $10,000, and the Platinum level is $25,000. The top ranking is Titanium Power Seller, and to qualify you must make at least $150,000 in sales every month!

The fact that these people exist gives you come idea of the income possibilities here. Most of them never set out to even set up a business on eBay – they simply started selling a few things, and then kept going. There are plenty of people whose full-time job is selling things on eBay, and some of them have been doing it for years now. Can you imagine that? Once they’ve bought the stock, everything else is pretty much pure profit for these people – they don’t need to pay for any business premises, staff, or anything else. Even if you don’t want to quit your job and really go for it, you can still use eBay to make a significant second income. You can pack up orders during the week and take them down to the post office for delivery each Saturday. There are few other things you could be doing with your spare time that have anywhere near that kind of earning potential.

What’s more, eBay doesn’t care who you are, where you live, or what you look like: some PowerSellers are very old, or very young. Some live out in the middle of nowhere where selling on eBay is one of the few alternatives to farming or being very poor. eBay tears down the barriers to earning that the real world constantly puts up. There’s no job interview and no commuting involved – if you can post things, you can do it.

Put it this way: if you know where to get something reasonably cheaply that you could sell, then you can sell it on eBay – and since you can always get discounts for bulk at wholesale, that’s not exactly difficult. Buy a job lot of something in-demand cheaply, sell it on eBay, and you’re making money already, with no set-up costs.

If you want to dip your toe in the water before you commit to actually buying anything, then you can just sell things that you’ve got lying around in the house. Search through that cupboard of stuff you never use, and you’ll probably find you’ve got a few hundred dollars’ worth of stuff lying around in there! This is the power of eBay: there is always someone who wants what you’re selling, whatever it might be, and since they’ve come looking for you, you don’t even need to do anything to get them to buy it.

How to Use PLR Content to Blow Your Competition Out of the Water

Does it seem like you spend the majority of your time (or money!) on content creation? Website content, newsletter content, blog content, new products, mini-courses, special reports… the list goes on!

Or worse, maybe you don’t devote time or money to developing content. In this case, you’re missing out on a huge opportunity. As they say, “content is king online”.

To help them overcome the hurdle of producing content, smart marketers are turning to Private Label Rights (PLR) articles, ebooks and special reports. It’s a very affordable way to keep up with all the content that a successful site needs.

But PLR content could be doing even more…

Most people using PLR are just scratching the surface of what this awesome resource can do. They’re submitting articles to article directories and creating Adsense sites instead of focusing on where the real money is.

Chances are that if your competitors are using PLR content, they’re missing out on some golden opportunities as well.

When it comes to making money online, having your own product line can put you miles ahead of the competition.

But if you’re like most online business owners, creating a complete product line will take hundreds of hours of your time, or thousands of dollars of your money! That’s why I put together this step-by-step plan to show you how to create your own product as quickly as possible.

Step #1: Decide on Your Topic – Chances are you already have a niche area that you’re focusing on. If not, that’s the place to start. To do this, consider topics that you already have some interest in. Then browse the search engines, forums and even sites such as Clickbank and eBay to see what type of demand there is.

Step #2: Find the Content – I’m a big believer in using Private Label Rights (PLR) content as much as possible. It’s an affordable way to get some really unique content that you can use as your own. There are lots of sources of PLR so do a bit of research to find a few that will give you a variety of information on the same topic.

Step #3: Decide how you’ll use the content – There are many different types of products that you can create. A good idea is to have several options at different price points so that your customers have a good selection to choose from. This will also encourage them to purchase more than one product!  When using PLR content, you can easily take articles and combine them to create a special report, ebook or mini-course. For higher end products, record them to create an audio product or have them printed as a physical product.

If you’ve found a great PLR ebook but want to do something different, add additional articles to it, or bundle it with an audio to create a complete product. The key is to be creative and think about what will be of interest to your target audience.

Step #4: Combine content to create a unique product – As was mentioned briefly in step #3, combining PLR content is a great way to create a product that is uniquely yours. Although others have access to the content separately, chances are that how you choose to combine it will be something that only you do. Select related information from several sources to create a comprehensive product.

Step #5: Add some of your own flare – If you’ve combined PLR content from several sources to create your product, it’s not necessary to rewrite everything. But adding your own personal touch is always a great way to engage your customers. This can even be as simple as writing an opening and closing letter that gives your spin on the information presented.

Step #6: Get some feedback on your product – Always have a few people read over your product before you release it to the public. This can be a spouse, friend or colleague although if you choose potential customers you’ll get better feedback. And you may even get a couple of testimonials that you can use in your marketing materials.

Step #7: Put together a sales letter – Some PLR content comes with pre-written sales letters. Since you will have added some additional information you’ll need to modify these materials. Or, sit down and write your own sales letter that highlights all of the benefits of your product.

Repeat these steps for multiple products at different price points and you’ll soon have a complete product line. It doesn’t get any easier than that!
